Honey Moon

Wisdom treads the ghost roads tonight,
Honey-gold, she bears the crown of light.

The throng of skins, the feast of flesh,
Dancing and writhing and with brimstone is blessed.
The moan of the hoard is the Word of the Proud,
As we yearn for a peek of the face ‘neath the shroud.
And discovery’s won by facing our fear
As beneath her shimmering veil is the Mirror:
Half hidden in shadow, half shines palest white,
and with fire she’s crowned, honey-golden the Light.
